Surf Lessons
Surf Lessons start at 10am or 10.30am depending on whether you are meeting at Holywell Bay holiday park Newquay or the car park at Godrevy National Trust beach, St Ives Bay.
Each surf lesson lasts approximately two and a half hours. As all surfing equipment is provided all you need to bring is yourselves, swimwear, towel and maybe some footwear for walking to the beach.
The surf lessons are split into three main components. First part is theory based on the beach, this consists of a compulsory safety brief, familiarisation of the surfing equipment and how to use it correctly.
After this you will learn how to surf a wave lying down. Learning a skill on a stable platform means you are learning the right way before taking the plunge and having some fun. After mastering surfing waves lying down the instructor will take you back to the beach and teach you the stand up techniques.
When returning to the water you will be aiming to get to your feet and surf the waves to the beach. With the help of our expert instructors who are in the water with you, you can feel safe and confident in your ability to surf.
Don't forget to smile throughout your surf lesson as you may well be photographed so that you can impress yourself and your mates when you have evidence of surfing for the first time.
It's an amazing experience so come and see for yourself.
